There are some wonderful charities in our area and we are delighted and proud to work closely alongside them to help them achieve their aims.
4Paws Hydrotherapy Centre offers a large heated pool with easy ramp access, an extended length Hydro Physio underwater treadmill, water jets for resistance swimming, and importantly, a consultation with input from a qualified animal physio to formulate an individual treatment plan for their cat and dog. 4Paws work closely with local vets to deliver a high quality, professional service, and also offer fun and fitness swims.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity, helping almost 200,000 cats and kittens every year through a national network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 32 adoption centres, including Ferndown.
Friends of the Strays of Greece is a charity which supports animal welfare groups in many areas of Greece. The charity supports shelters in Greece with funding, sterilisation programmes and veterinary care, arranging for vets to travel to Greece to sterilise animals and carry out numerous other surgical procedures to relieve unnecessary suffering. When possible, the charity also arranges for dogs and cats to be rehomed in the UK.
Formerly known as the Feline Advisory Bureau, International Cat Care work with veterinary and welfare organisations all over the world, helping stray, feral and unowned cats, while also offering information and support to pet cat owners. SCGSR is a charity that provides care and shelter for stray, neglected and unwanted German Shepherd dogs. They never destroy a healthy dog, believing that a kind and permanent home exists for every dog whatever their temperament or disability.
